Welcome to 2018!!!

We are back at it! What a great first week we are having. Room 5 has a great combination of Year 7 and 8 students, and it is great to see both Year levels mixing together and working well.

We have started our year with athletics training, and students are reminded that they need their PE clothes each day. We will start Technology in the next week or two and that will be on a Monday.

Yesterday all Year 7 and 8 students were lucky enough to spend a large part of the day with Tracy Scott, learning about Peer Mediation. It was an awesome time, and students were then asked to decide if they would like to step up this year and continue with Peer Mediation Training. By the looks of things, we are going to have a great bunch of leaders in the Senior School. Tracy was such a vibrant and enthusiastic advocate for Mediation that the students were very engaged for the whole session.

We have an exciting Term planned which includes Camp on March 12-16 as well as School Athletics and South Otago Athletics for those who qualify, and lots of other fun things to do!

We have parent interviews next week - a great opportunity to come in and chat and help students set goal for this Term and beyond. All students have been given forms to fill out at home and bring back with them for the interviews. Year 8 students are also bringing home their HPV consent forms this week - look out for those in their bags!
